Harry Potter

I have a tendency to read books when I'm sick and one of the most natural book
to pick for me is usually Harry Potter.
I can't really choose my favourite book out of all seven. Whenever I choose to read one, I pick the book that... I don't know... suits my mood.
For instance, the first book gives a 'start to a new beginning' vibe and it's quite
lighthearted.
The heaviest (not in a weight sense) for me would be the order of phoenix
(merely due to the presence of Umbridge ... also Sirius's death). Well, i think.

i reread Prisoner Of Azkaban and spotted a little mistake - probably really irrelevant
but i feel like it is a mistake nevertheless and I feel a bit unsettled by it.
Remember when Harry sat for their OWLs and the results were revealed in the next book,
few weeks before school reopened?
well Fred & George (plus Percy- he received his NEWTs) got their OWLs in the same
book they sat for their exams . They got it even before they boarded the train home
/before summer started.
i dislike noticing any imperfections in the book... but i guess it doesn't matter.
There are a lot of things that are so close to perfect in the book - they can easily
overcome that little blot of imperfection!

Oh did I ever tell you the tale of how one lady started reading Harry Potter?
I shall name this girl Lady.

That lovely night, a Quran recital was held at Lady's house. The night was still young and she was waiting patiently for her close friend to arrive. Some of the details were forgotten but somehow - though it was not odd for Lady to get this kind of feeling since she loved reading books - but somehow, she was itching to read a book. Any book, as long as it was good and readable. Instead of searching her own bookcase for a good book to read, she went through the sitting room's bookcase. It was full of a mixture of books, from children tales to books written by Harun Yahya. Hmmm, she thought, nothing interesting here. Her interest wavered for a moment so she turned around to return back to doing nothing while waiting for her friend. Wait a second, she squinted her eyes in concentration, my brother's room have a few more books to offer... She was hesitant though. She felt that there probably wouldn't be anything really interesting in his room for her since he read books that were of different genre. Nevertheless, she gave it a try. She came across a book about aliens and passed it off immediately. Any topic regarding aliens on Earth gave her a very eerie feeling and she didn't want to experience that that night. Biographies... at that time too, she wasn't interested into successful people's stories to success or whatsoever. Her eyes landed on Harry Potter and flashed back to a silly conversation she had with her brother.

Lady: Did you ever read that Harry Potter book?
Brother: Nope.
Lady: Then why did you buy it? That's so pointless.
Brother: BECAUSE! It's... It's like a book everyone must have in their homes. At least one.
Lady just shook her head in disbelief. She still thought it was pointless. Nobody was going to interrogate them and asked them if they had a Harry Potter book, so it didn't matter if it was a must to have.

She stared at the Harry Potter book, pondering about it. There must be a reason it is a must have. It should be an amazing book. She didn't have a lot of knowledge about the Harry Potter series then - all she knew was that it was a bestseller and it had its own series of movies. So she picked it up and settled down on a sofa. It was a bit dusty, smelled old and the pages were yellowing. She opened it slowly, savoring the feel and scent of the book. She immediately fell for the ancient vibe of it. It was her first Harry Potter book. The one that her brother had bought was the fourth book in the series and despite the fact that it was far off from the start, she managed to enjoy the first page of the book even without prior or only with little knowledge of the Harry Potter story. She was enraptured by the author's words and read it from chapter to chapter until finally, her long awaited friend came. Lady was a little bit shocked when her friend greeted her because she had forgotten about her world and delved into the wizarding world unconsciously.

Laugh as hard as you want, i admit, being called Lady is embarrassing (I named myself that...) but i was in the mood and wrote you a nonfiction short story!!!!!!!!! haha & sorry for the different font type and size. just wanted to give it that classic feel. and minimize the embarrassment that way. haha
so uh, moral of the story?
i guess we all should give something different a chance. in Lady's case, she gave her brother's choice of books a chance. and found Harry Potter - one of the best books she'll ever come across in her entire life!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CANNOT express the importance of it enough. Besides, it seemed to come at the most unusual times on Earth - actually, it is more to unexpected than unusual. Like, who finds the most amazing book (aside from the Quran) masa kan mengaji beramai-ramai at night? AND
the book had been there ages! I could've found it any night. but it was that night anyway.
Everything about that night was odd (the overall atmosphere) so it's just......unexpected.
so that leads us to another moral/conclusion, some really good things come at the most unexpected times!!!! --> this i can be sure of, i can list out some amazing events in my life that came randomly knocking. I say random cause it's really wasn't counted for.. you know? yeah you know, or you'll know. depends on the reader, I suppose.
