shallow hal :
this is an AWESOME movie. well. mainly, for me. hahaha. it's a 2001 production. i didn't buy the DVD but i watched it on TV.
well this guy HAL [jack black] and his friend, Mauricio [jason alexander] have boys'-syndrome(i made this syndrome name's up). guess what? they like beautiful girls only. i know. they suck. :p well anyway, one day Hal met an American Life Coach - Tony Robbins - in an elevator. They were stuck in the elevator and so Hal spilled out about himself & his boys'-syndrome. So Tony Robbins understood and he hypnotized Hal into seeing people's inner beauty. this is how 'seeing people's inner beauty' works.
Hal's eyes - instead of seeing a fat, 300 pounds girl in front of him - sees a sexy girl, with a beautiful face and gorgeous blonde hair name Rosemary [Gwyneth Paltrow].
and the gorgeous person he's seeing is the inner beauty of Rosemary. Rosemary is kind, nice and has a good 'inner beauty' which also means personality which makes her beautiful from Hal's eyes. Hal doesn't realize this. So...people seems shocked at Hal's 'new girlfriend' who is so darn fat. Anyway, so every girl he meets - who are supposed to be ugly and eeeeeeewww - becomes pretty and oh-so-gorgeous cause most ugly people are good people. and beautiful people becomes ugly in his vision. so hal's fall for this gorgeous girl and blahblahblah and when his REAL VISION comes back, meaning the hypnotized eyes are gone - he found out Rosemary was actually fat and yuck. i know. yuck. this leads to a very sweet ending and a nice lesson to all of us. inner beauty counts. seriously.
shallow hal ended up to be a nice guy - the kind a girl needs.
i so love this movie. i so love jackblack.
